Going Overboard With Packaging
A local brewer in Charlotte, NC, created an oyster-infused beer for an AIGA design and brewing contest. The aim was to create a unique brand that pairs well with the artisan beer and stands out on shelves. The packaging design embodies the traditional Norway style with a modern twist, inspired by the Ship of Ormen, the largest ship during the Viking era. The packaging features a high-contrast color palette of deep green, black, and gold, with intricate line-work and patterns to accentuate the nautical theme. The textured shading curate a style that had the flexibility to be printed on stickers, labels, and t-shirts to be out on display.
This glass bottle is adorned with a beautiful gold flourished label and matching top design. The gold foil accents against the matte finish bring out the details of the design, giving the bottle a sophisticated and polished appearance. The bottle carrier features a ship at the top and a wave pattern at the bottom, reminiscent of the Ormen in a perilous battle against the forces of nature.
